ABOUT THE THERAPIST

About The Therapist

Teresa McGrath earned her M.S. degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lakes University in Houston and works with couples and individuals. She is currently serving families in The Woodlands, in private practice as a Licences Professional Counselor for over 15 years.

She was the Clinical Director of INFOCUS, a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and support of new parents and the professionals that work with them.

She is a certified provider of Dr. John Gottman's "Bringing Baby Home" a research-based program designed to help new parents learn the relationship skills necessary to maintain connected relationships after the arrival of a new baby, as well as “7 Principles for Making Marriage Work” program for couples.

Ms. McGrath received her B.S. in Nursing from West Texas State University. She was a neonatal nurse, taking care of the needs of premature and critically ill infants & their families for over 30 years. and was board certified by the N.C.C. in high-risk infant care and specializes in working with new parents, especially those with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
